Weddings, photoshoots & Covid-19

Hey Friends,

We hope that you are all staying home and staying safe during these unprecedented times.

There are so many unknowns right now and my heart is aching with all of our clients who have spent months and years planning their wedding to come to a place of having to make heart wrecking decisions. I wanted to focus specifically on what this all means for my clients with weddings booked, and clients who have booked any type of portrait session with me over the next few months.

Weddings;

For all of my amazing clients who's weddings have and are directly affected by what is happening right now, I want to first assure you that we are on your team. We plan to be as flexible as possible so that we can help our couples in any way possible while still keeping our business above water.

So what to do if your wedding date has been affected?

1. Postpone your wedding

What does this mean for us as your photographers?

We are opening all of our Fridays and Sundays that we can as available dates for clients needing to reschedule.

One thing we have going for us, is we generally only book 2 weddings per month which makes two weekends available as it stands. (with the acceptation of September) but like I said we are opening all of our Friday and Sundays as well as long as it works with our current scheduled weddings.

The bottom line is, we want to be your photographer. We absolutely love the relationships we build from our first time of meeting, into the engagement session and into your wedding day. We want to be there for you as we hold all of our clients so close to heart and documenting your love stories is so special to us that we do not take lightly.

2. Minimize your guest list OR elope

What does this mean for us as your photographer?

If you just want to do the dang thing, and get married then this is an option. Have just close family or just the two of you and make this a super intimate wedding. Have the big party after everything blows over. Obviously this isn't the answer for all of you, and we totally understand and appreciate that.

For those of you who decide this is the right thing for you and your fiancé, let us know and we can help you with the planning process and get you hitched!!!

We understand how difficult this is, and how heart breaking this is for you all. We feel you. Though we can't fully grasp how you are feeling we are sensitive to how this has affected you all.

If you would like to see the available dates that we currently have for 2020 & 2021 send us over an email to nicoleostropolec@gmail.com

Unfortunately if you do decide to go with a date that we don't have available, you would be forfeiting your retainer/deposit. The remaining balance would not be due. Know that we also want to avoid this option, we truly want to celebrate with you and offer our service to you.

Although these are unimaginable circumstances the retainer/deposit already collected helps to keep the business running (which is a part of why it is nonrefundable for any circumstance within your contract).

Engagements, or family sessions/ all photoshoots

To all of our clients who have booked family, newborn, maternity, business and wedding clients who have booked or were hoping to do their engagement session soon.

If you haven't been following along with the news, the Province of Ontario has issued social distancing guidelines. There are potential fines of up to $1000 for individuals who are not following the guidelines. These are the guidelines if you weren't already aware:

  • avoiding crowded places and non-essential gatherings

  • avoiding common greetings, such as handshakes

  • limiting contact with people at higher risk (e.g. older adults and those in poor health)

  • keeping a distance of at least 2 arms lengths (approximately 2 metres) from others, as much as possible

All non essential businesses and work places in Ontario have been ordered to close effective 11:59 p.m. Tuesday for 14 days as the battle against COVID-19 reaches a critical stage. They are prepared to extend this order if necessary.

Since technically photo shoots are non-essential gatherings, for now we will need to put a pause on these sessions.

If you have paid booked a session with us we can postpone your session until we're safely allowed to hang out together again :)

If you would like to book a future session, or have any concerns feel free to shoot us a message so we can chat!
